Family Group

UD Crops is one of three businesses involved in agriculture under the parent company, Youssef Nessim Family Group. United for Milling, a flour mill plant in the industrial zone of Minya, was established in 2002, while United Farm for Agricultural Crops began operations in 2016 in Minya as well.

Apart from agriculture, the group has diversified into education and healthcare to support the local community. The Academy of Administrative Sciences was launched in the neighboring city of Beni Suef in 2012, and a nursing academy was also opened in Beni Suef in 2021. Additionally, a science of medicine and health academy is expected to begin operations in Beni Suef in 2021.

The group is committed to the region’s development and is building Lotus University in Minya, which is expected to be completed in 2025.

Farm & Factory

Set in the fertile agricultural land of Minya, a region famed for its bounty of agricultural produce, UD Crops’ farm produces fully traceable crops, assuring its many customers of consistent quality produced under prime conditions. Produce is also sourced from neighboring farms that apply the same quality control standards, thus boosting the availability of valuable exports. Our farmers supply our processing facility with high-quality crops from seeds cultivated from our crops, drawing on generations of agricultural experience while abiding by stringent international standards and following a strict procedure to ensure consistency and quality. Vegetables are carefully harvested at the peak of their maturity, before being quickly transported to our nearby facility. From the planting of each seed, right up to where the product reached the shelves of supermarkets and kitchens worldwide, every step is aligned with quality methods as laid down by the demanding global certification held by UD Crops.

After being harvested, our crops are transported to our factory, where they undergo a careful preparation process before being dehydrated. Every stage of the process contributes to the exceptional quality that UD Crops is known for. We take great care to preserve the flavor, color, and nutrients in every particle of our premium onions, garlic, and leeks. To achieve this, we use the latest in advanced dehydration technology so you can be confident that you are getting the best possible product.

Dehydration & Innovation

Feeding the Nation

Agriculture has long been a significant contributor to Egypt’s GDP, and farmers and field workers have played a crucial role in feeding the country’s millions. Thanks to advancements in farming techniques such as crop rotation and diversification, crop yields have significantly increased. This has resulted in a surplus that can be utilized to boost Egypt’s economy through export development.

Innovation and Dehydration

The export of agricultural products has consistently increased with a wider variety of products and an expanding market. However, the cost and perishability of these products have always been challenging. The solution to this issue was to dehydrate some of Egypt’s most valuable crops using updated technology. This would enable access to a potentially enormous export market.
